You guys who put Canelo as no1 are inconsistent. By that logic Rungvisai should be no1 based on dethroning the then p4p king Gonzales. He is not even top 5 on the ring list? To top that he beat Estrada cleanly! Just pointing out the inconsistency not that I endorse Rungvisai as no.1 or completely reject that Canelo deserves to be no.1
Its Deja Vu really Ward NEVER LEGITIMATELY beat Kovalev or Canelo lost both times to GGG. You cannot beat corruption
I agreed that Rungv was short changed there but the difference is that he was nowhere in the PFP list before those fights while Canelo has been consistently in the top 5 by most accounts for quite some time now. So is't not that hard to move him up a spot or two after that win.
Moved up Loma to his rightful position #1 which the vast majority already had him at. But it's yet another feather in his cap to be officially recognized as the Pound for Pound King by The Ring magazine. They moved Spence down from 8 to 9 which was another step in the right direction albeit they could've moved him down even further IMO, like right out of the top 10 altogether down given the strength or rather the lack thereof his resume. Good fighter and all (albeit a very overrated one IMO) but he can count himself extremely fortunate to feature in the top 10.
Canelo and GGG both overrated a bit, especially the Mexican. He lost both fights against Golovkin so why is he Number 3? BJS or Jacobs would give very hard time (at least) for both, and they are not in top 10.
Canelo fans are a blight on the sport at the minute because they don't care if the continual controversy he generates burns the middleweight division to the ground. They just want him to be king of the ashes. Failed drugs tests? No problem. Consistently controversial scoring. Good with us. Silly catchweights and waiting for champs to fade. Genius. Accusations of bullying and diva behaviour. Our hero.
