    Slappy Joe got knocked down 4 times by non-punchers, hid out in Europe with a fringe "world" belt and did not participate in Big Time Boxing against the best of his era. One of the most overrated fighters ever. Imagine a Hatton who never fought prime May/Pac and claimed to be great - this is Slappy Joe.

    Well he is definitely the best cruiser ever, anyone saying otherwise must have nostalgia tinted glasses, the quality of Holyfield's opponents at CW was pathetic.
