Not the end of the world. He beat a good champ and is still undefeated. He still remains an unknown quantity but is enjoying a boom from a what have you done for me lately perspective.

That's funny, Rees' entry into the Ring's rankings pushed Kotelnik out of them.

Gotta be fair dude, Hatton did beat Tszyu past It or not, was the undisputed champ at the time.

I agree maybe Rees is ranked a little too highly after all, top 10 perhaps.

But............. the Rings rankings are a little silly if you ask me.

Hatton will be Champion forever because he will never get to defend against the number 1 contender. What's the point in having a ring champion who won't face the top contenders?

Hatton had many meaningless WBU title fights with no mandatories, then he wins the IBF title against an old Tsyzu. Since then he has never defended the belt against a proper challenger.

He picks the fights he wants. If everyone else gave up belts and did that then Ricky would be still with Warren as the WBU champion.

I'm sorry, unless Hatton beats Witter and takes on real challengers who are

    1. Young 2. Undefeated 3. Can punch 4. Are proper 140lbs or 147lbs

Then I have no time for him.

Faded names, lightweights, light punchers, people who have lost fights by KO don't cut it.

People expect Rees to be knocked out in his next fight and many are picking Harris to beat Witter. No-one will bet against Hatton because the opponents have minimal chance of winning.

    Witter!

    Hatton don't do mandatories.

By making that list above, are you suggesting that Hatton is the best of a very bad bunch, who is hiding at 140lbs?

Whats the point in that? As soon as Ricky wins it will be "OMG Witter is 33 Hatton's going for old fighters again!"

Hatton versus Witter would be a huge fight in the UK, but Hatton does not want it because he would lose.

I agree, there are people on here who cannot accept that he won fair and square.

    Hatton would beat Witter soundly.

Rees won the fight fair and square, but hes still way unproven to be 4th place. How the hell M'Baye stayed in the top 10 after that performance is beyond me
