Agree 100%. Rees probably deserves about 9 or 10 but MBaye deserves to be about 20 now not 5.

How could Castillo be number 1 at 140? Based on what?
Never rated Castillo, especially at 140.

Anyway, Witter is number 1 now. If Hatton is indeed fighting Mayweather in December, do you think it makes a Witter fight more likely?

What I mean is when Mayweather stops Hatton, do you think Hatton will then fight Witter for the WBC title in Manchester?

I hope so. And I hope he will have better luck with the judges than in his fights against M'Baye and Witter.

I like Gavin, I've known him from a young age and was in school with him. I respect what he's done and couldn't have been more delighted when he beat M'Baye so I'm far from a hater.

BUT, this is just plain silly. Ring surely have no idea who Rees is and probably haven't even seen him fight at all. They (Ring magazine) claim not to be influenced by belts and who's holding them. Installing Rees at #4 in their prestigious rankings after beating a **** version of an old M'Baye really is ****ing stupid. Rees was nowhere near their top 10 before the fight. Sure, there's a strong case for him being top 10 now but they have installed him at #4 because he is WBA champion, no other reason. The Ring rankings are as meaningless as any other rankings system in my opinion.

agreed...their rankings are meaningless for all but their champions.

btw, torres the wbo lww champ isn't even in the top 10, but his next opponent (holt) is.

Yeh taking on Castillo and Mayweather instead of defending his title to such a strong dvision of contenders (who aren't fit to lace his boots) it shows Hatton's true colours - ultimate cowardice!
