Also you didnt spell Calzaghe right at the beginning. Make it factual, not a newsletter.. either way it's showing the collective intelligence of many posters... What fight is your avatar from btw?
Yeah, once I got to "Oscar is the best fighter of the last 30 years" I suspected something was up. And he's buds with BHop so naturally they call him the reall winner of that fight with Joe C.
I was laughing as I wrote it. I wanted to start off serious, then get more and more ridiculous as it went on.
Now that is class :rofl:rofl:rofl Funny stuff right there man! And alot of valid points too in amongst the silly talk! :yep
I wanted to put something in about blaming the bursting of the Pavlik bubble on Calzaghe also but I lost my enthusiasm and replaced it with the "more soon..."
the first papragraph had me wondering , but if anyone bothered to read it before immediatley jumping on there keyboard , they should have twigged it.
William Dettloff, a long time critic of the undefeated southpaw, applauded the move saying that it was "high time that Calzaghe was defeated". Dettloff went on, "Calzaghe only won the Ring belt at 168 because we were trying to build our own superstar in Jeff Lacy... I also had a big bet on that fight and have held a grudge ever since, much like the rest of the USA." :rofl
Dettloff wrote an article entitled something like "still not buying what Calzaghe's selling" just after the Lacy fight. It sticks in my mind because he accused Calzaghe of a lot of things. All of which Dettloff was proved wrong about. Dettloff said that Joe was not worthy of being called World Champion, he would never fight in the USA and that he'd never take on Kessler before he'd lost a fight. I present to you, the Chief reporter of "the bible of boxing".
