I'm not a fan of self-righteous threads, but I'm starting one this time, because having Adrien Broner at 5 pound for pound (and Guerrero at 10 if I'm feeling nit-picky) is ridiculous.

I'm calling "horse-****" and cancelling my Ring subscription, and I encourage you to do the same.

It was once a respected magazine seen as the voice of boxing, but is gradually becoming mere vehicle of propaganda for a certain promotion company.

It won't make any kind of difference unless many people do it, and there are worse things in the world, but **** it, I care so I'm doing it.

Yeah, but unlike ours, the Ring magazine's is a traditional and well respected opinion.

Do you have Broner at 5? If not, why do you think a Golden Boy owned magazine does? Work it out.

Well you are a ******** then, Broner is well worth a top five spot on his record so far, he has Won all his fights without breaking sweat.

He is a better fighter than Guerrero IMo.

    Name Broner's top three wins.

Edit: And please don't tell me you do P4P based on potential. That's more bull****.

who cares what htey rank fighters at? What does that have to do with the magazine itself. the person or people ranking do not write every article. Plus money talks. it is funny how people on here NEVER understand that.

It's obvious he has a special talent, his last three Wins are his best. He will get even better and will be a top 3 p4p fighter for the next decade soon.

He is an unbeaten World Champion and he made Demarco (a top fighter) look ordinary.

Only bull**** is coming from you.

He has a special talent of course, and he may well be a top 3 p4p fighter soon, but as of what he has done and who he has beaten now does NOT get him to the list, and anyone who agrees with him being that high ranked; they clearly dont know ****.

    This goes for Guerrero too.

I agree on Guerrero, i do think Broner should be around 9 or 10 though, 5 is probably too high thinking about it, Froch missing from the top 10 makes the list stooopid.

Atrocious post. Money talks...so you agree with a promoter subtly influencing a magazine with huge tradition within the sport?

Of course he is a special talent. His win over DeMarco was superb. That is not enough to put him past Donaire, who has beaten Montiel and Darchinyan (who were both at the time top 10 pound for pound according to The Ring themselves!)

Other than that, Escobedo and Perez? You have to be ****ing shitting me.

Nope. No he wouldn't. Can you tell me how you worked that one out, is it based on previous examples of British fighters being over-rated in the Ring's P4P lists or.....? Because it has to be said, Carl Froch has impressively beaten Bute, Pascal, Taylor and Abraham and he's nowhere to be seen. Ricky Burns has Roman Martinez, Katsidis, Mitchell and Moses and he's nowhere to be seen.

    See you, clown.
