"Even against Abraham in March, when he looked fine for most of the bout, he slipped to the canvas in the 11th, another instance of his ongoing problem with footing, and Abraham took the opportunity to swing at him like he was using a machete."

"Dirrell has yet to fight a perfect fight in the Super Six, and in order to beat Ward, he'll have to be perfect.

And since we can't imagine Dirrell going from being an uneven fighter to a perfect one, it's probably safe to assume Ward gets by Dirrell too."

The Ring Magazine, September 2010 issue.

I have to say personally that I fully agree with the author of the article who goes by the name of Don Stradley, especially the part that I highlighted in red.

It would help if he wore a face mask and helmet as well to avoid too much damage from Ward butting him about 50 times.

Are Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins going to have a rubber match?

Well this looks like the Andre Vs Andre Hate thread based on the a few of the responces... The Ring Mag article brings out some great points.. However Ithink this will be a great fight.. I have called for the Draw.. but im hopeing for a Ward Win and a Freed Dirrell to fight Bute....

Ward haters are usually Calzaghe fans most of the time. Dirrell is more talanted than Ward but Dirrell's heart or lack of, and his flaws that were highlighted in the first post will most likely lose him the fight against Ward.

Ward survives without a loss in the tournament until either a rematch with Kessler or potentially if Abraham comes prepared on fight night.

How does Ward lose to an even older Kessler in a re if he completely shut the man down last time?

Pardon him, he's a Calzaghe nut hugger who's still mad that Ward easily beat the man that is Calzaghe 2nd best scalp.

Have a fight that isn't in Andres home town.
    Headbutt x 2 = points deduction
Straight right 1-2 on the glass chin?

    Maybe?

Agree! Lack of skills as well. I like the guy but as soon as his speed is gone he will not have any significant advantage. Ward is a complete fighter with a dog mentality. This fight is highly interesting, dont understand why people are crying about it though. Dont like the guys just dont watch the fight.

Just a funny feeling I have, I think he'll adapt better than Ward will and I think he'll be much better in the rematch. Some of the things Montoya is teaching him are starting to come through and remembering he only recently started with that trainer, a bit more time will give him the edge, as well as having a few tougher challengers since the Ward fight.

Ward is a superb fighter but I see him having problems if Kessler can re-establish the jab he used against Mundine. Mundine for all of his flaws isn't the worst fighter in the world to compare with Ward.
