    That's because the criteria have nothing to do with WWII. The criteria were the same as IBHOF's for "modern fighter", which is that their final fight was fought no earlier than 1943.

    WWII was just the OP's shorthand.

    Lennox Lewis is easily top 10. Probably top 5 and possibly the GOAT.

    Seriously underrated, if he was a yank they'd have carved a fifth head on Mt Rushmore.

    Lewis unified the heavyweight division when that division still had some great boxers.
    He also avenged his 2 losses. Took on all challenges and knocked most of them out.

    I never saw Holyfield avenge all his loses.
    He has 2 losses to Lewis.

    In a recent poll on this site didn't Lewis come 2nd behind Ali as the greatest HW ever?
    How he never made the top 20 in that list and has 4 points(And Bowe has x10 Lewis's tally) just makes that list biased.

    Unifying HW ---> Unifying Cruiser

    Ali > Lewis

    Louis > Lewis

    ...yet no Ali or Louis on Mt. Rushmore.

    A lot about Lennox's resume just doesn't quite stack up to most of the guys on that list and the honorable mention portion.

    Good list, there'll always be disagreements, but a solid list nonetheless

    I tried telling fools that PBF would be viewed as the greater fighter historically than Pac and the thing is he's not done. If he finishes 49-0 or 50-0 the gap will be even bigger and he will move up a few spots.:deal

    Probably not if they fought now but 4-5 years ago he very well might have. The real point is until they do actually fight it's speculation and if Floyd continues to duck this fight it will hurt his legacy 100% guaranteed.

    This list while not bad if far from definitive. Look at Lewis for starters, he was royally robbed on that list. I don't mind Holyfield ranking above him if you take into account Holy's cruiserweight accomplishments but no way should Tyson, Holmes and Frazier be that far ahead of him. Same goes for Holyfield for that matter, ahead yes, light years ahead, no.

    Hearns was also short changed by quite a bit and I've just glanced at the list I'm sure if I put more thought into it others would come to mind.
