If you're going to say Mayweather should rank higher than Pacquiao at WW, then you can't put either one of them above 5-6.

you need to beat good Welters' to be ranked at the top of the division

Based on ability I would not place anyone ahead of him. I just think to be ranked at WW you have to beat a current top ten WW.

if floyd´s fight with judah and hatton doesn´t count, cause they were mainly 140 fighters.. does that mean that his fight with Oscar at 154 do count for welterweight credit??

Judah was a two time welter Ring Champ... Sure the didvision was weak but facts are... Agree 100% on Hatton, it shouldn't improve his welter status but doesn't hurt.. Baldo and Judah are his welter legacy, but the truth is they were the last two ring champs when Floyd faced them. Talk about good timing.

Dude, Judah was the lineal champ at 147 and hasn't fought at 140 for years. Hatton, sure...Judah, nah.

you have to go with performance not how great there potential is, potentially he is the best but but so is everyone, a decisive win over JMM after a long layoff and not a convincing domination beforehand of the division shouldn't put him above fighters that take hard fights and do well even when they lose close ones

I think at this point you got to put guys like berto and even collazo ahead of him, and stick floyd above a guy like gomez.

now, with everything floyd has done, getting a victory over a legit welter will shoot him way up near the top but I don't think he deserves to be there until he takes out a top ten welter in his comeback

How was that when at that point Cotto had been knocked out by Marg then Mosley comes along and knocks out Marg?

Wouldnt that make Mosley number 1?

Pac didnt even go through Mosley...

By that logic then no one should get "WW credit" for beating Floyd. Floyd was mainly a 130 lb. fighter. Judah had been a Welter for a few years when he fought Floyd and was the former undisputed WW champ. Floyd fought him in his 2nd WW fight.

Unless I'm mistaken Vitali was WBC Champion Emeritus.
