    I thought it was an awesome issue, it was the first I'd bought in a LONG time, and I enjoyed the **** out of it.

    The only downside to me was not seeing some of my favorite writers of the past (like Jim Bagg for example), but I did really like the Mexican-American specials, the Zab Judah feature, the Terrence Crawford piece, the farewell to Omar Henry, and lots of other good ****.

    I read the whole damned thing in like 2 days.

    I'm gonna buy next month as soon as it comes out too :deal

    my ****ing thread is not a ****ing 12 $ monthly magazine that makes

    35% of its profits on subscriptions its also been around for 40+ years and the

    people that write for it are pain paid     this small e nuf to read e z il e o

    They should re name the Ring to The Golden Boy News . When DelaHoya bought The Ring he destroyed it got rid of all the good writers putting in GBP lackeys anyone that buys & reads that gargage deserve what they get

    One of my biggest problems as of l8 and this is going to sound (racist but whatever its how I feel) is that they seem to be increasingly leaning more and more urban I.E. terminology/lingo and lots of racial and or Nationalism charged articles/propaganda and to be honest that's fine if that's the direction they want to take the magazine but to me IMHO not only is it moving drastically away from what it has been for the better part of 40 years but the way they are doing it feels forced and fake.

    I picked up a few copies last year expecting the Bible of Boxing to be some sort of timeless stuff filled with insight and great writing.

    It ****ing sucks. Everything about that magazine sucks. It made me feel good about my chances of one day writing for it, though. But I might be slightly above their standards. The ratings suck, the opinions are biased, the funny stuff isn't funny, the analysis is guesswork, and the structure of the articles is just shitty. And typos everywhere.

    They really do suck. They should put Doug Fischer in charge of the entire magazine and have him write it all, because he's the only one that has a boxing brain and actually knows how to write.

    Also, OP you should send in some work, I think you're about up to their standards.
