    Prety poor.

The fact that 4 out of the top 6 are heavyweights prety much tells the story!

It was mostly based on the impact they had on the sport more than based on their achievements (Thats what the writer said).

Not too impressed with that list to be honest.

However I do think undersized heavyweights should be better represented in atg lists.

Obviously a **** list, with the biggest surprises being the absence of Charles, Langford and Ross, who should be staples for top 15.

    My first impression exactly.

And really, if you are going to pick a heavyweight, Jack Dempsey over Larry Holmes? Hell, I wouldn't even take him over Tyson or maybe even Jeffries.

No Carlos Monzon? No Eder Jofre? No FREAKING SAM LANGFORD, who should probably right at the top of that list?

    meh,

Well, then maybe Tex Rickard should be on that list instead of Dempsey.

And most of what Dempsey is credited for as far as the development of boxing can be attributed to Rickard, the million dollar gate, the heist of Shelby (in terms of revenue streams for promotion), the international ballyhoo with Carpentier (a rather undeserving challenger)...

Funny, I was reading some newspaper reports on Dempsey this weekend, and not one, but several, noted how he offered nothing new in terms of science to the sport.
