I think its a bit difficult to pick the best cruiserweight but Haye is a good choice anyways by the ring

Someone care to actually explain why Juan Manuel Marquez is deserving?

He doesn't. I have even Chris John above him. Barrera #1, John #2 then maybe Marquez as #3

Overall good list. MAB over Marquez. Not sure about Mayweather, but they probably figured they had to put him somewhere.

they seem to of made room for all the p4p guys of the era but I don't think JMM or maybe even Pac should get it at those weights. They moved weight so much that they never really dominated.

Also I don't think Tarver should but can't think who get's it instead!

Going strictly off of what was done from 2000-2009, I'd go with Wlad over Lennox.

Lennox went 6-1 in that decade and only fought until 2003.

Wlad's gone 22-2 in the time span being judged.

Yeah MAB should be over JMM. I want to see Ring's reasoning for picking JMM over MAB.

The reasoning the ring gave for picking Juan Manuel Marquez was that he got the nod because of his wins against Manuel Medina,Robbie Peden,Terdsak Jandaeng,Derrick Gainer,Victor Polo and his draw against Manny. They said it was tough to call but JMM got the nod because of his talent, resume and longevity. So i stand corrercted when i said they werent including talent of the boxers into their choices. They also have Pacquiao at no 2 and Barrera at no 3.These are their reasons not mine:good

Well I would say that Marco Antonio Barrera turned professional in 1989 whereas Juan Manuel Marquez turned pro in 1993. Likewise, Jandaeng and Polo are barely names worth even mentioning. I don't think these are good enough reasons, not when Marco holds wins over both Hamed and Morales at Featherweight.

As for having Pacquiao above Barrera, he had three fights at this weight and went 2-0-1. Simply doesn't cut it.

Max Kellerman laid it out very eloquently a week after the Marquez-Pac rematch!

It brings a smile to my face that Ring Magazine got that featherweight division right.....

.....for anyone that followed the divsion as intently as I did, it comes as no suprise that indeed Juan Manuel Marquez is the Featherweight of the era!:deal:bbb:happy
