http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=31447&more=1 According to a news article that has appeared on the Manila Bulletin, the new issue of “The Bible of Boxing,” Ring Magazine (the May issue, set to hit the stores soon) will have an updated top-10 Pound-for-Pound listing. One that sees Floyd Mayweather Junior sitting atop the legendary magazine’s listings. Pac-Man was rated #1 P-4-P by Ring in the years 2008, 2009 and 2010, while “Money” was ranked the supreme of the supreme in 2011. Now, according to The Bulletin, Mayweather is back at the top of the heap. Here are Ring Magazine’s full ten, P-4-P: 1: Floyd Mayweather Junior 2: Manny Pacquiao 3: Sergio Gabriel Martinez 4: Andre Ward 5: Juan Manuel Marquez 6: Nonito Donaire 7: Wladimir Klitschko 8: Tim Bradley 9: Pongsaklek Wonjongkam 10: Lucian Bute. Has Pacquiao been demoted due to his razor-thin, much debated points win over archrival Juan Manuel Marquez? How will The Bible look if Mayweather either struggles mightily with, or even loses to Miguel Cotto on May 5th? Of course, there is a chance Pacquiao could lose in an upset to Tim Bradley in June! If Boxing was good it would be, Mayweather Marquez Pacquiao but since we have corruption, and boxing judges can be paid and fighter protected... It's Mayweather Pacquiao Marquez
I would like to see the explanation behind that bs list. Wonjongkam is still there ? Last time they said Manny is still at nr 1 because he technically beat Marquez. What happened now ? Why did Gamboa drop out ? (Probably because Bute vs Ward/Froch is coming and they want Ward to look good)
So, Pacquiao is moved down because most people thought he lost to Marquez, but Marquez drops a place even tho most people thought he beat the then p4p number 1? Ok. Mayweather Pacquiao Marquez Nonito Ward Martinez Wlad I'm pretty confident with that
1:Floyd Mayweather Junior 2: Manny Pacquiao 3: Sergio Gabriel Martinez 4: Marquez 5: Morales (despite his recent lost)
Look at Michael Rosenthal (the editors) facebook comment on the bottom of this article: http://ringtv.craveonline.com/blog/172203-the-ring-may-issue-at-a-glance It IS NOT their pound for pound rankings. It is a poll of 10 'experts' who are not on their ratings advisory board. As Rosenthal says "Abraham and everyone else that isn't clear on this: The result of the Best Fighter Poll is NOT the official position of THE RING. It is a poll of 10 experts who were asked to name their No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter. Repeat: This is a POLL."
Not as much as Manny's **** performance against a guy who Mayweather thoroughly outclassed counted. :deal
