this terms thrown around alot, what makes a warrior? you tend to think danny lopez, gatti.guys who can take punishment carry on attacking and get the W. david diaz did that with santa cruz and pac(not the W) but people were calling him a bum coming into the pac fight. im reading a book on benn-mcclellan and after watching the fight the commentators were questioning his heart when he took a knee, when you consider he was showing signs of distress from as early as the 3rd round against a fighter like benn while suffering this injury.apparantly he asked to stop it after round 6 but his trainer told him to finish the fight if it kills him, ofcourse noone was to know till afterwards. it also goes on abit about tyson vs golota, the papers said he was a true coward and one of the most sorry excuses for a fighter ever.but you've got to remember you can die in there.its more than a sport. intelligent fighters who choose to box and win easily instead of tear it up and make it hard for themselves often get called cowards(mayweather, lewis of recent)but if you were lewis vs tua(who some regard as a warrior)what would you do?lewis beat a dangerous opponent but gets critisized for being boring, fans go on about what a fighter "owes them" but they're not the one taking risks in there.you've seen how alot of boxers end up. so how do you guys define it?what makes a warrior?
A guy that can fire back immediately after getting hit a good shot. They don't show anything & just absorb it. They counter in a millisecond and don't give respect to the opponent nor let them build momentum for unanswered combinations. We haven't seen very many of these guys in recent times & we see far too many guys go into a shell > getting hit by a speedster or a tall guy. The warrior type guy has the temprement & just as important, the tools, to not deviate.
