No, it wasn't explained. The only explanation here is that fishnets now owns the magazine, thus tweaks the rankings to his own liking. I don't care for neither one of them anyway. To me it is the fighter that makes the belt worthy, not vise versa, example PACMAN.
fight and beat peter? thats ******ed, he already beat Peter, Peter beats up a blown up middleweight and now suddenly hes the 2nd man in the division, give me a freaking break.
What has Iggy done, that Peter hasnt? Iggy's best wins are over Holyfield and Briggs, both of whom lost to Mccline and Toney just a few years ago. Peter was the last fighter to give Wlad a great competitive fight, something we havnt seen since Brewster in April of 04, Peter earned that 2 or 3 spot.:deal
Blown up middleweight? Since when? anyway, I'll say it again, The Ring is just following their own rules.
And that's the most logical point that can be made regarding this article. Many were critical of the Ring for making it's exception for Vitaly, so I am glad they are sticking to their established rules at this time. That's about the best we can expect from anyone making ratings or crowning champions.
BULLPLOP! wlad would whip both oleg and peter inside the distance and already gave peter a thumping. wbc is garbage just like the rest. i could care less if they are the oldest organization. they are just as corrupt if not more than the others. the fighter makes the belt not the other way around. maskaev has the wbc but has been a disaster as a titilist. peter okella? wtf? u call that great
Yes, but the organizations set up the matches and rank the fighters. The WBO is probably the worst of the big 4, Brewster got the belt off of Wlad in April of 04, lost the belt in April of 06 to Liakhovich, Liakhovich then lost the belt in his first defense against Briggs in November of 06, then Briggs lost the belt in his first defense in May or June. The belt changes hands faster than any other belt it seems, and the fighters that have held the belt over the last 4 years arent exactly world beaters either.
I'm just glad that someone is sticking to there guns. I frankly cant handle watching old heavyweight fighters with all there action, talent, and fun. give me punch hold, punch hold, punch hold all day:roll: I serioustly cant look at any of these guys serioustly...I honestly wont buy any heavyweight PPV's anymore
Peter just gave Wlad one for the rode, if Wlad didnt excessively clinch the whole night, Peter would of knocked glass chinned Wlad out that fight.:yep
Wlad will ko him next time. Did you see the McCline Peter fight. Peter got knocked on his fatass 3 times. McCline is not a good fighter or hard puncher.
Peter only had 9 days to prepare for a competely different oppenent, besides Mccline has early round power, he put Bryd, Briggs, Brock, and Peter down early in fights, it's only later in fights where he gasses out and loses alot of his power. Peters a tough guy, that will probably knockout Maskaev brutally and prove to the world how good he is.:yep
