Hey everybody, I am a new member of this forum I love the set up you guys have. I am an amatuer boxer from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and I was wondering if any of you have fought at the Ringside Tournament held annually in Kansas City, Missouri? I fought in it last year in the novice division, since I only had about 6 bouts at the time, and it was a really good experience. Tons of national competition. There were boxers from Ireland, Cuba, even Jordan and everywhere else you could think of. I ended up making it to the semi-finals and got robbed by the judges in a fight I thought I won (but I'm a little biased obviously). Maybe I'll post the videos from my fights. Fighting three times in as many days takes a lot out of you. I was just wondering if any of you have been to, or plan to attend this year's Ringside Tournament? I recommend going for anybody who has the opportunity.
I've competed there twice and plan on going again this summer. It's a great tournament to get kids experience. I wish it wasn't so chaotic sometimes but it is what it is and it's a good tournament.
