Jan(DK), never try to score a boxing round again. You suck at it.
    1. Do you score body shots?
    2. Do you count jabs?

These stats show why the Jab is the most important shot in boxing, bigger shots dont count more on the cards. I could easy score round 1 to Haye. Forman called it equal until round 10. The scoring of boxing is not something I'm experienced in really but I assume Foreman is and I still think he "did better" in round 1 than Wlad but the stats dont support that. But lies damn lies and statistics I guess.

A jab that hits is a punch that counts...every once in a while a jab is a power punch; depending on the footwork involved. Not all jabs are Mayweather fleaflicker get out of Dodge jabs.

Jabs also control the distance...part of controling a fight.

Haye was very fast, faster than expected even Wlad said that after the fight. He said he's got a good eye, reacting as soon as Wlad did anything.

I havent' seen Wlad miss so many punches before for a full fight. Seldom many in a round.
He did miss a few vs Sanders:admin....but Sanders had heavier and faster hands than Haye. Wlad was arrogant in that fight, and said afterwards he learned not to be arrogant.

The wide hook and the haymaker are the slowest of all punches....no matter how fast they look to you. The old one two is much faster, they are in a straight line.
That is why even a hooker should have a jab to hook off of.

When you look at your statistics don't cherry pick....
Often the 'box punch' statistics are not quite as good as you would think.

I could give max four rounds to Haye..I may have given him 3...and only one of them easy...and no I did have Wlad winning the 12th. I won't ***** much if you think he took the 12th, it was one of his better rounds.

I didn't score the fight on paper, in I'd expected a KO.
It was possible before the fight to say one of the two were going down.

During the fight, Wlad showed great footwork, some fine blocking.

Then there is this defination of 'power' punch that you picked as the only thing you saw, while ignoring jabs.

Then there is who controls the action, who is the aggressor and defence is all involved in who won a round.

There is something you don't see on TV that you see in a live fight.

Some times on TV a punch looks like it landed that missed, because of the Angle of the camera.
I was at a live fight with good seats, with the screen over the ring. I frog eyed....looked at the fight live and the TV big screen. I noticed a few times what looked like a hit, was a miss in real life.

So remember punch stats are coming from the TV angle and is not exact.

I gave Wald the first round.

I watched the fight in slowmotion too, and frankly, I fail to understand how you came to that conclusion.

I had Haye landing two solid looping rights, and one jab.

I had Wlad landing three power shots with the right, and one right hook and two right straights that went in cleanly, but without any real authority. He also landed a handful stiff jabs and a bunsh of grazing jabs.

Both men struggled to land, and they where both so elusive it was weird. But Wlad outlanded Haye clearly in every department. Even Haye and Booth have admitted this.

I try to keep a respectful attitude while debating, but I am sorry to say you must be out of your mind. Haye did not land 10+ punshes in the first round. No way in hell. And I watched it in slowmo ...

Imo the punch stats for that fight are bollocks, trouble is with the style Haye has using reflexes alot of the time when Wlad was throwing the jab it was missing by millimetres and i guarantee alot of those were getting scored as punches because of the way Haye pulls his head back.

There was numerous times when Jim Watt was saying Hayes getting peppered by the jab when if you watch closely they wernt landing at all.

Having said this Wlad still won the fight but it was a damn sight closer than is made out.
