Ringside last night - Froch more shook than ever before

I think it was the question about how preparations had been different to the first fight. I just found it amusing that Groves had said some far worse, and in some cases stupid stuff, but Froch's shrink had clearly told him not to rise to it. But then he couldn't help himself when the target wasn't Groves.

 

Those were a couple of shite questions tho.. "has your preparation gone well"

might as well ask "do you think you'll win the fight"

 

Was the woman not the one who asked him if he had more respect for George? He really bit her head off for that one lol.

 

Insecurity ?

Insecurity is when you arrange to meet somebody who's slated you on Twitter, all the best fighters do it don't ya know :rofl

Groves had the fight of his life, and ended up staggering about like a drunk in the ninth round. And crying like a chastised child afterwards.

 

He was very nervous and adgitated, you can tell by his hand movements throughout, also signs of sweaty palms rubbing them on his thighs ect. All tell-tale signs of stress/nervous disposition.

 

I think Froch genuinely dislikes Groves. He was trying hard to be calm and composed, but it was obvious he was irritated by Groves and clearly doesn't like to be in his presence. Groves comes across as an unpopular smart kid.

 

I'd say that Froch is making every effort to cover up his annoyance with Groves and, in comparison to how he acted the first time round, he is succeeding. Deep down he will still be experiencing the same emotions though so in a mental capacity it is irrelevent. It will however improve his stock amongst fans though and will repair some of the damage he did from his arrogance pre and post the last fight.

The main thing Froch can take from this recent "special" is that he ended on a high and was the one who got the last laugh. Groves was visibly annoyed by this and seemed to carry on through the credits in a hope that he could redeem this.

 

I honestly thought he started nervously but as the show went on seemed fine and george seemed a little annoyed that his consistent questions etc.. weren't bothering froch. Froch knew how to deal with george, engage him then he can't carry on in your ear. At the point of going to break and george realising he wasn't annoying carl he began saying 'hold it together carl, hold it together hold it together' At that point i saw his desperation to annoy carl but it wasn't working.

 

Lol @ everyone going far too deep into this mental war. On fight night it still comes down to the fact that groves is technically a lot better.
Just caught up with ringside on YouTube and from what I can see GG is himself as always and froch is not being himself at all.
Still doesn't change my original prediction of groves inside 6 or 7

 

How many power shots did Kessler and froch land in thier two fights combined? Neither looked like hitting the canvas.

 

Froch's work with the sports psychologist has paid off and there will continue to be improvements. The psychological stuff is very important to George in the build up to this, it will bother him that it is no longer working.

Carl is being more himself and is coming over quite well really.

Froch will beat him.

I like both kids but I want GG to win ...although yesterday I found him quite annoying and I actually felt Carl made him look stupid on a few occasions. None of this matters though anyway when the bell rings the truth will be told
