I'm getting tickets for the John O'Donnell/Tyson Fury card at York Hall on September 10th. I'm pretty hyped about going to York Hall for the first time, and was tempted to splash out £60 on the ringside seats. Standard seating is £35. Both sections have unreserved seatings. Is it worth going for ringside? Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you can get a ringside seat go for it, the York Hall is a great venue...:yep

    Balcony seats are great too...:good

I had a university exam there a few months back. All i could think about was a roaring crowd and two fighters slugging it out. Needless to say i failed.

I sat ringside for Power-Ward a few years back. Fantastic seats in terms of getting up close to action and also seeing the whole ring. No one was jumping up in front of me to block my view. I probably enjoyed it more because i got ticket for free.

York Hall is a great venue and most seats are decent on ground level depending on the stewarding of event. You will get some idiots who feel need to make out they are real close to one of fighters and think there Jose Mourinho of Boxing waving instructions to there man whilst shouting ''c'mon KO the ****, he's ****, throw left hook!!! rip his ****ing head off son''

The balcony seats sound great but I've heard they get taken very quickly and if you stand up from them someone might have grabbed them by the time you sit down again. I'm guessing all the floor seats are fairly close to the ring, but ringside is very tempting, don't get many chances to get that close to the action for 60 quid.

I always sit up in the balcony at York Hall. I've sat ringside and whilst it's good, I actually prefer the balcony. I try to sit at the front where you get a completely clear view. (And you can lean on the rail!).

Cheers for the tips guys. I went for the standard seating in the end. Hoping for a good night, and an in-shape Tyson Fury, but I'm not getting my hopes up for the latter

Balcony seats are by far the best in the house. If you get there for the first 2 or 3 fights you should easily get a seat. Standing on the balcony also gets you a good view though!!!
