Olympic silver medallist Joe Joyce is in advanced talks over turning professional under David Haye's promotional banner. Haye is keen to snap up the 31-year-old, who lost a controversial split decision in the super-heavyweight final at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics against France's Tony Yoka. Sportsmail understands a deal is close to being agreed for one of Britain's leading amateur talents, with Joyce having medalled at every major international tournament. He has sparred extensively with Anthony Joshua and was a significant part of the heavyweight world champion's preparations for his unification showdown against Wladimir Klitschko. The Londoner, who has a degree in fine art, has maintained since last year that he would be turning professional in 2017 and has spoken to numerous promoters. But Haye's Hayemaker Ringstar is currently looking like his destination. Joyce's entry in the professional ranks looks especially timely as Yoka is due to make his debut on June 2. Joyce has publicly stated his desire for a rematch in the professional code. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/bo...Joe-Joyce-talks-sign-pro-deal-David-Haye.html
Yes, Ringstar/Hayemaker has signed a 3 year deal with Dave TV for 5 shows per year for the UK market.
Also, Richard Shaefer is talking to several TV companies in the US. He will announce 10 to 12 shows per year deal with one of the TV networks soon.
Richard Schaefer, co-owner of Hayemaker Ringstar promotional company, told ESPN that he plans to move Olimpyc silver in the supe heavyweight division Joe Joyce extremely quickly at the pro ranks. "He is 31 years old so he will turn pro in an eight- or 10-round fight," Schaefer said. "He's going to move very quickly. We think within five, six, seven fights he will be ready to go for a world title. His style is very unusual for a heavyweight because he's such a volume puncher. ... He just keeps coming and coming and he is a huge puncher. I think he could win the British and European titles in his first few fights. He is totally ready."
