Not the highest of skills but certainly a great fight and would definitely be a crowd pleaser. Wouldn't mind seeing them slug it out again.

Ha. I have no idea who to pick and I don't care. Their fights are great though, so I'll watch and in the grand scheme of things it is the most relevant thing they can do.

Is it going to be at 147?

Alvarado is clearly damaged goods at this point but, I still believe that he's capable of coasting to a UD if he uses his skills. My gut tells me that he won't do that though. They both know what Arum wants and they are probably going to feel obligated to give it to him.

I'm moderately surprised at the negativity toward it.

The alternative is either or both of them feasting on C-level guys to stay active...or worse, clogging up the world title scene by undeservedly getting another shot based on their names even though both are effectively coming off losses (Rios caught a break with that Chaves DQ).

This is best case scenario, and will provide guaranteed action. I don't see the problem.

What is it with some of the whining in here? Yea yea we know they aren't elites neither were Gatti or Ward at that point in their careers, but they were matched well which in turn became action packed fights. They don't exactly have to be mainstream fighters to make good fights. These 2 have beaten boxers with more skill than both of them combined and are warriors. Go watch The Young and the Restless or Oprah instead.
