Brandon Rios was in the best shape of his entire career last night. I have no doubt that even if Alvarado came in to the fight in shape that Rios most likely would have won the fight. With that being said that was not Mike Alvarado who came in the ring last night. Was a shell of himself mentally. Was lacking confidence, was slow, was submissive in the ring and just sat there taking punches for two rounds.

So in your opinion is he shot, skipping workouts, or is he enjoying the fast life?

As far as Rios I think if he trains like he trained for this fight he will be a serious threat for his upcoming opponents.

Rios looks like he could easily move down in weight. As years go by, Rios looks to add more and more to his lovehandles.

I don't think it was all Rios even though Rios looked real good. I would have believed that if Alvarado would have been throwing flurries that looked crisp and precise and then maybe got overwhelmed by Rios, but it didn't happen that way. Alvarado's punches looked slow and not well thought out. I may be wrong but I keep up with Alvarado and watch all his fights, something wasn't right with him. He wasn't there last night, as somebody else said on eb sad way to end that triology. Let down :-(

The Mike Alvarado that fought Marquez would have faired much better than the Mike Alvarado that fought last night.

It was good to see a Robert Garcia fighter make weight for once.

The speed was lighting quick, the power was bone breaking and the defense was impregnable. Good to see rios is back to his championship form.
