watch round 1 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaJ14_0Sd48[/ame] it was an old fight and i'm still picking him to knock out Alvarado, but this is pretty interesting.
He was clearly at least stunned a few times against Acosta in the early going of that fight, but it's pretty clear he has a good chin and heart for all his antics. If Alvarado stops him it's likely to be a late stoppage.
Acosta hurt him too Alvarado never been hurt only cut but that don't mean **** he over comes and pushes forward like a beast Alvarado ain't no small antillon
Too be fair Tua was knocked out by Felix Savon in like thirty seconds while wearing head gear when he was like 18/19 and I don't think many people would despute that he's in or around the top 5 best chins ever at heavyweight. Rios has clearly matured and he has one of the most resient chins in the sport right now, although Acosta conclusively proved Brandon can be badly stunned. That being said Acosta is a very sharp puncher who hit Brandon with a lot of sneaky punches that Rios didn't see. Alvarado doesn't have the speed to land those surprise shots like Acosta.
If Alvarado wants to stop Rios, I wouldn't focus on head shots. Rios appears to have a very solid chin. He looks able to tank head shots with ease. He should try and attack the body. All that weight cutting can't be good for Brandon's resistance to body shots.
stfu. i know that any fighter can be hurt, mother****ers. fact of the matter is, this guy is known for his chin and we just saw him nearly get sparked in the first round by a nobody. certain people would call that glass jaw behavior. i'm not questioning his chin, just showing the video that MOST of you haven't seen.
