I watched the fight an Pac busted Rios face up, esp. around the eyes. Pac did hurt Rios and could have easily knocked him out in the 12th and even before that.................It's true that Pac was fast, Pac's speed and power took the fight away from Rios..........

It isn't that simple... Yes, Pac was in position to possibly knock Rios out. However, he would have been vulnerable to a knock out himself. So, saying that Pac "could have knocked him out" is similar to saying that Rios could have done serious damage, Rios neglected opening up his offence for the same reason. If Pac had been more willing to risk a dramatic KO loss he most certainly would have had a good chance of winning by KO, but he knew better than to risk it. It was a strategic decision, not a mercy of some sort.

At least they are giving Pac and team their due props.
    That's good sportsmanship right there.

Don't think he can afford otherwise. This was by far his biggest(and possibly last) payday ever.

Yep, IMO the Pac that wanted to go in for the kill vs JMM 4 would have stopped Rios. JMM timed him perfectly though and now he doesn't want to risk that same approach again. He could have gone for the kill against Rios punching through the guard, even if he attacked him like he did Clottey, but Rios was always one haymaker away from changing the tides and it wasn't worth the risk.

Their plan was to box him, and if the KO comes, take it. It never came and he wasn't gonna force the issue.

Damn! Rios saw it coming but it was still too fast! And by the looks of it, even though it was partially blocked by his right hand (which, out of sheer impact from Pac's left, also hit his face), it was a solid hit and in no way can Rios say that it didn't hurt.

I guess he's got no choice but to imitate the clamshell style of Clottey unlike the warrior Margarito who keeps on going forward everytime.

Alvarado hurt him more because rios was letting his hands go but in the pacquaio fight he was defensive punk and trying to block pacs shots
