He's been brought in as cannon fodder, not sure how you expect him to be treated.

Great news but I'm suprised so much info is coming out just before a fight and Rios is going ahead with it. Couple this with the talk of moving up in weight and it sounds like info could have been leaked to justify a bad performance or the need to step up straight after this bout.

Nevertheless, I hope its true and he is a dead man and Murray brutalises him. The more champs we have, the better.

Definitely. All the evidence you need is the Pac-Margo fight. If he cared about the well being of his fighter he would have stopped the round in the 9th but he let him takie a beating and cause permanent damage to his eye.

Rios looks like death. I dont care for him, but I was seriously worried for his health when I saw him at the weigh in.

Rios will rehydrate to about 150lbs but starving his body for the past 5 days will still have a lasting effect. Crazy how fighters do this to themselves with all the advances in diet and conditioning. If your body is telling you to move up, move up!!

Murray needs to pummel the body, when your weak body punches feel a lot worse

I am right in thinking they made a deal with Murray's team that the fight would still go ahead as long as Rios didn't weigh more than 145.6lbs this morning?

Can't remember where I read that

Yeah, it was 147 at 9am. We're just over an hour away from hearing if he made it.

Can anyone see Murray walking away if hes just over 147?

I don't know if that is necessarily true. It is a similar situation to that of De La Hoya V Pacquiao. For all we know Rios could be struggling to put the lbs back on in a constructive manner.

Garcia is going to get his fighters killed, or damaged. First with Cheato's eye, and now this. Ffs, I'm sure he was aware. Don't know what ****** would allow a fighter to do that.
