Gamboa is going to win. That is a guarantee. To much hand speed and movement. He also has Manny Steward in his corner. Something like 9-3 or 10-2 for Gamboa.

You have got to hand it Gamboa he really does seem to want the big fights. I am picking Gamboa for this by decision. I think he is a special talent and will outbox Rios. If he slugs it out then Rios wins it but gamboa is my pick

yeah i see rios winning this one if he catches gamboa a few times. gamboa will taste that power and it will hurt but if gamboa boxes smartly (as in hit and not be hit) he could steal a points victory. rios is plodding and the speed difference might be crucial.
still, its hard not to make rios the favorite in this one. im surprised he's staying at 135 though after the murray fight. he looked only about 80% effective at that weight then.......?

 

I agree that Gamboa is definately something special; as a fan I would have liked him to clear out 130 but if he pulls this off it's some statement. I think he can do it by using his speed and not getting into a close up war but Rios is pretty damn strong and relentless; this is a mad fight.

 

Gamboa hasn't shown his best yet. He could win this

 

rios is overrated, gamboa has better chance of beating rios than burns, if he doesn't get caught he boxes rios's head off

I think it will look like Manny vs Hatton. - But due to rios been able to take the shots better, he'll last till about round 6, till he gets KO'd.

If Gamboa would carry his explosiveness and power at 135, this has the making of a FOTY.
