He has some of the better inside skills of boxers today. Definitely lots of tricks and maneuvers he pulls out there in the pocket.
I would say he's more versatile on the inside than Andre Ward. but Ward doesn't get hit as much because that's his absolute main focus, hit and not get hit.
Ward is not great on the inside with both hands free. I can only remember one clinch in the entire Rios/Alvarado fight. Holding is not inside fighting.
I gotta say YDKSAB. Where exactly in that gif do you see any clinching from Abril? This content is protected
well okay if Abril shoving his knee into BR's crotch and holding BR's right arm while walking forward into him is a spectacle you enjoy. although Abril does deserve credit for the fight, he didn't ALWAYS hold. but I haven't bothered to watch the fight more than once so I can't talk about the fight in detail. All I know is Rios is a beast on the inside plain and simple
silly drawings can't contend with Rios and Marciano delivering rocks to their opponent's jaws. Rios is an old school warrior.
Who got thoroughly owned by his daddy. Did you see that rock delivered to Ríos's jaw? That's a beauty to behold.
