Yeah, Alvarado had to go through surgery, so there was no way he would be ready to fight PAC in November. Yeah, he fought Provodnikov in October, but he would have needed more than that extra month of recovery time to step in the ring with PAC.

Since this is a Floyd vs. Pacquiao thread...

Floyd W Canelo is greater than anything Pac has done since Cotto.

Floyd has won three times since Pacquiao has claimed a victory.

Khan is rated higher at 140 than Rios is. Neither are ranked at 147 and neither have ever fought there. And Khan's whole career is better than Rios if we're using that as a gauge. EDIT: Both **** fights. Somehow Khan is better though...

What's up with Rios fighting a guy coming off a brutal KO loss?

People complaining about who Floyd "might" fight next but those same fans are quite okay with Manny fighting his third 140 lber (forced to 147) in a row. (And yes how ironic Manny loss to two of them already, one more strike and your out)

Pacquiao is also coming off losses. They are trying to rebuild that's why Rios has been picked.

But not before they offered career high purses to JMM and Bradley, who both passed

Bradley had a fight at 147, JMM had 2 previously. Ortiz had a fight at 147, Guerrero had 2. Pretty similar except JMM, Bradley >>> Guerrero, Ortiz. Well Floyd also fought JMM, but that JMM had 0 fights at WW or JWW and only 2 at LW
