Good man, not buying into the popular "fast-food" choice of Berto-Ortiz. :good

Anyone who has that in their top three (or hell, five) missed a few great ones.

Like many, I think Ortiz - Berto was FOTY, and an early candidate for FOTD. but Rios - Antillon was pure quality. I was shouting like a nutcase the whole fights. But no way was the fight stopped too soon. Antillon's legs were completely gone, he could barely stand, and stumbled badly across the ring about 15 seconds after the pinch landed. He could have been seriously hurt.

I agree it was an entertaining fight, but Rios seems to have some large holes in his defense. Too much "Paul Williams" in his style.

I can't get too excited about him just yet.

same here Berto ruined this fight from being FOTY from his excessive holding

Well, I guess I am one of them that prefer the Ortiz vs Berto fight.

Dont get me wrong, Rios vs Antillon was awesome, but to me, Ortiz vs Berto ranks higher on the scale for me personally.

Not even Fight of The Night...That went to Salido-Lopez, which seems to be quite underrated here IMO.

Berto/Ortiz was the best fight this year for me.

Rios/Antillon was good but a little one sided, lacked the dramatic swings in action of Berto/Ortiz. Antillion had his moments but even when he was landing it never seemed he was on top for long as Rios was always firing back with the cleaner punches.

    Well behind:
    Vazquez Jr. vs. Arce
    Berto vs. Ortiz
    Acosta vs. Rios

Oddly enough, the champ and first billed fighter lost in all of these...

I do think Rios vs. Antillon Round 1 has been one of the very best rounds of the year.

IB, I really think you just hate on the Berto/Ortiz match-up. I remember talking to you about it the day before it happened and you said you thought it would be a garbage and insignificant fight. I think you may need to admit you were wrong. Those 12 rounds featured a lot more intrigue than did Rios vs. Antillon, which ended exactly how it should've, early KO W for Rios. Round 1 of Rios/Antillon was a Round of the Year candidate, but Round 6 of Berto/Ortiz is the clear frontrunner.

No way Marquez/Concepcion was a better fight. I think that one is very overrated. Very. The first 2 or 3 rounds were really intense in atmosphere, but Concepcion won a total of one round the whole fight. To me, that kills it.

Honestly, I think Vazquez Jr. vs. Arce should get more love.

Ya wtf, come to think of it old man Arce must have been juicing or something that fight!

Antillon was dropped like he was supposed to be.

    Berto Ortiz is FOTY imo.
