Unbeaten lightweight (135 pounds) Brandon Rios of Oxnard, Calif., will face Omri Lowther of Toronto, Canada, at a catch weight of 138 pounds on the Nov. 13, HBO-televised, Top Rank Promotions under card whose main event matches WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king and seven-division champion Manny Pacquiao and former titlist Antonio Margarito for the WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) belt at The Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

Catchweight? Wonder what's that about? Still, Rios is always entertaining to watch. Hopefully it lasts acouple of rounds.

If Omri fights Rios like this....

I predict a KO win in 2 for Rios and it will come from a body shot. Omri is wide open for it.

Yeesh. What a **** poor opponent. This kid was dominated by Hany Lundy only a couple months back, and Lundy only took the fight on three days notice.

  5. Which of the 2 dark-skinned gentlemen is Omri?

    :huh

Don't like the opponent blame the match maker and a short notice. All the big names were already committed.

**** poor is a bit harsh... That being said, the guy obviously needs to tighten up just about everything. Too loose and wild. I think he could have some potential if he got himself a good trainer; hard to say when the product is so unrefined.

I doubt he will get far against Rios...

Rios was originally scheduled to fight on December 4, so he probably doesn't have enough time to get all the way down to 135 with his fight moved up three weeks.
