Why can't refs let fights draw to their natural conclusions, i.e. brutal and embarrassing KOs?:rofl:patsch

It's quite clear that that snake Arum was behind this. How did he get The Dungeon Master to referee a fight? Another travesty for boxing. Matthysse would destroy defenseless Rios, but he will be made to bloat and be a sitting duck for Bradley or Pac, two other Top Rank cash cows. :dead:dead:dead

I think he should have waited. Not like the fighter has a history of bad KOs.

It was a good stoppage, Rios had plenty of time and power left to finish up. Ref saved Alvarado from getting badly hurt.

I agree, very quick stoppage, one of the worse I've seen.

I was pulling for Alvarado and thought the Ref was in the right to stop it when he did. Alvarado was out on his feet.

It felt a little early. He wasn't fighting back effectively but I've seen fighters come back from where he was. Ortiz was rocked was worse than that and came back to get a KD and later the win vs' (whats his name, the Haitian-American from Florida, I'm drawing a blank). But I'd rather feel like a stoppage might have been too early than too late.

GTFO. Mike was done after those shots Rios landed.

I thought it a bit early. Alvarado was clearly hurt, but not defenseless. 1 more hard flush shot could have done the trick, but he was trying to grab Rios when the ref stepped in. It was early but not nearly the worst I've seen. Where is Steve Smoger whne you need him?

**** off you ****. He couldn't see any punches coming his way. He was on a one-way street to retirement.

A guy doesnt need to be unconscious on the ropes to be stopped. Sorry 46 but I disagree
