Rios v Gamboa looks set to be called off...

havent been this excited in a while, fancy gamboa to take with a few patchy moments

 

I think is a lose-lose for Rios. There is a danger he will lose obviously, but of he wins, he has beaten a featherweight.

 

I don't think Gamboa will be considered a feather. He started at around 130, was the champion at 126 but then missed the mandatory IBF weigh in, fought at 127 and decided to skip 130. I think the signs are that he was working hard to make 126 and based on his last championship fight it looks like it was hard for him to make 136 the next day.

 

I agree that his frame isn't too big but he has a very muscular build like Pac and Jones who went through the divisions. They are mesomorphs and I think he might be able to carry the muscle and speed through the weights.

Rios looks dead at the weight and every fight is a risk. He has got a nutrionist so hopefully he'll cut and rehydrate better but naturally you can see it should not be his weight unless he changes his lifestyle.

Rios will more than likely fight somebody like Escobedo or Vasquez if he decides to man up and fight top opposition.

Sounds like Gamboa is signing for Mayweather Promotions and with that the fight will be off................
