Rios v Gamboa looks set to be called off...

Didn't TR do pretty much the same with Pavlik against Cunningham & then Bute (but on a slightly smaller scale) There's always rumours about Pacquiao's contracts not being received until fight week either

DuBoef said Gamboa had agreed to the Rios fight and that he has an ample paperwork trail to back it up, even though the official bout agreement isn't signed yet. (It's standard practice in boxing for a formal bout agreement to go unsigned until well into a promotion.)

I don't know what Gamboa's got an issue with, he was meant to be getting a career high purse for this and if he'd lost he could have simply blamed the weight on move back down.

More or less everyone on here was looking forward to this fight. It's the sort of contest that we get 'rewarded' with now again for having to put up with all the bull**** in boxing as fans of the sport.

And now for whatever reason it looks like the fight won't happen :-(

He may well be getting a career high purse but he must be lookin around at guys like donaire and chavez jr and thinking he's not getting his fair shake. If ever something strange like this happens in boxing there's usually a simple answer : MONEY!

I know that but those people that talk into his ear prob don't tell him that. Guy needs to be made known to the masses he's a super talent. Look every boxer thinks they deserve more and if mayweather is gonna give him more that's where he'll go he won't give a **** about no rios fight

Press conference going on atm. TR say they had an agreement with Arena (Oner) and Gamboa. They've also announced a $100k bonus for the winner of the fight.

If Gamboa won't fight there'll still be a fight on April 14th...Rios vs ?
