Hmmm....It would be a good fight IMO Diaz has a good style to deal with Rios. Rios, despite being a good puncher, is very one-dimensional.

:rofl In the wave of Rios euphoria, I'm leaning his way, but Diaz had that phone pole jab at his best, and he obliterated some guys not all that worse than Acosta during his run, including Kats. No power to get Rios's attention though. I think he survives the distance and drops a relatively close decision.
I wasnt aware that winning an 8-4 decision is considered an obliteration. Rios' destructions of Peterson and Acosta are more impressive than any of Diaz's wins. Diaz's best win was over a washed up Frietas.
Come on, Kats got schooled. 8-4 was a kindness, that fight was over by the middle rounds. It was like watching a poor man's Toney - Barkley. In any case, we aren't really disagreeing. Rios is a way bigger talent.

Yes.... it was a competitive fight. Alot moreso than biased ass HBO let on. But in the end, Diaz was a clear winner. 8-4 sounds right. Comparing it to a one sided masterclass wipe out like Toney-Barkley is just a ******ed thing to say. Barkley didnt win one SECOND of that fight, nevermind any rounds. It was a slaughter. Diaz didnt do any damage to Kat. He simply outworked and outboxed him.

Two pressure fighters with high activity rates that will meet in the center of the ring with neather one wanting to move backwards. Ill take the bigger fighter, with the better punch, better chin, and more toughness (imo), Rios late TKO over the solid Diaz. Honestly, I really dont see what Diaz brings to the table that will beat Rios. Diaz will take a lot of the early rounds based of his combo punching and activity, but as the middle rounds start coming around, I think Rios's accurate and sharp punches will have begun to take their toll and you will see Diaz start to be the one lagging a bit in the fight. I think as the championship rounds begin Rios will be in nice control and will actually be bullying Diaz a bit, and I think Rios eather wins by late TKO or by close decision. Quite frankly I think hes too physical, and too good, for baby bull. Thats not a knock on bull btw, who was a good fighter. I just think Rios is better, and bigger.
