I'd say that Juan's most impressive performance was against Julio Diaz. He dominated that fight, and made Julio quit.... even if Julio was over the hill.

But the FACT is... the only good PRIME fighter than Diaz ever defeated was Katsidis.

Its also a fact that he was kept far the hell away from Corrales, Castillo, and Casamayor.

I laughed at what was highlighted. I indicated this by highlighting it in the first place. No, I don't see how those fights are comparable. Barkley was weight drained, bad vision, getting a masterclass lesson the entire fight that (as I'm sure you'd agree) Diaz wouldn't even be capable of giving. Toney/Barkley is one of my favorite Toney fights.

    Fair enough.

But in any case... I just made this lil thread for you.

Diaz would lose to Bam Bam... but at least its not a mismatch in the terms of a Diaz vs Corrales, Diaz vs Pryor, or Diaz vs Rosario.

Alright I'll give you that. I didnt remember that much damage being done to Kat's face, but admittedly I havent watched the fight in about 2 years.

I'll rewatch Diaz-Kat sometime this week. But I certainly DO remember it not being as one sided as some think.

I'd also like to add that Kat fought an incredibly DUMB fight but totally neglecting to go to Diaz's body in that fight. Actually he totally neglected to go war in general in that fight. Either he was too confident in his power being too much for Diaz, or he was dumb enough to believe that he could outbox Diaz. Or both.

I think if Kat fought Diaz the same way he fought Marquez, it woulda been a much more interesting fight.

I am a huge Kat fan, and I really dont think the fight was that competetive. In fact, I was pretty dissapointed. I thought he had a good shot to win before the fight. But aye, it is what it is.
