i think the weight affected. showed in his performance. i was expecting rios to explode on him like he usually does since abril was being passive many times in the fight. never came

Two of the judges did what the ref SHOULD have done and docked Abril for his illegal fight plan. Give me a break with this pure boxer **** cuban bum bum. Abril just assured he gets no big money fights in the foreseeable future with that **** poor crappy performance. Rios worked while Abril was copping a feel and Rios got credit for his effort. It was as simple as that. This one is not that hard to score since the judges have been favoring the guy making the fight for some time now and penalizing counter punchers who don't do their fair share. This ain't a street fight where self defense is a valid option. This is a prize fight where both guys are expected to come and put in their fair share of the work to make it a decent scrap. Basically this means putting forth 50 percent of the offensive initiative. Make openings, not just wait and wait and wait until the other guy gives you something. This is not fair to the guy trying and THIS is why Abril lost.

I gave every round i possibly could to Rios and i had it 9 3 for Abril.
Those saying Abril was boring are Rios fans half of fight he stood in front of Rios and Rios could not land clearly to save his life, Abril landed from distance and defended in close with shoulder roll, i have never seen pro fighter after 12 round looking like he did not take one punch.
Anyone that scored for Rios clearly DKSAB, and dont tell me judges scored it for Rios yeah i know and i know Arum had something to do with that!!!

You are posting same **** about this fight on every thread, you are delusional Rios fan or YDKSAB.
Rios didnt land **** and got hit whole fight, so he doesnt hit his opponent and get out punched while going forward that means he wins??? Abril stood in front of him and Rios wasnt able to land ****, could not cut the ring off basicly could not do **** but because Abril moved more and has better footwork he lost right??:patsch I guess you score a fight for fighter that goes forward no matter what.

He was landing to the body and head every time Abril clinched. Someone ran the video count. Look it up. While Abril was holding Rios was punching and landing. To the head and body. Again, ya know what? Regardless of the official outcome the REAL outcome is Brandon will go on to make some decent paychecks because he comes to fight and Abril will be lucky to make lunch money. The real money comes from TV and they aren't gonna want none of that ****.

That may be true if he isn't matched carefully, but that will be one more GOOD payday than Abril will get. :deal

Time will tell, but its sad thing if it happens, Abril is 10x better boxer but most of the fans doesnt appreciate true boxing skills and just want to see two flat footed fighter going after each other.

Most fans want to see a boxer that puts forth the effort to take it out of the judges hands. Don't judge anything about boxing fans as a whole by anything that goes on in this incestuous little forum.

What kind of fan stop being a fan of a fighter after they lose? Not much of a fan.

I seriously considered putting him on my ignore list after that statement. He is obviously here to be a fan boy. Given records are that important to him I'd have to think *****.:yep
