I had it as a draw but i can see if people got Alvarado winning. Close rounds but if i would have to pick a winner it would be Alvarado.

Alvarado ! He won it with ring smarts, listening to a damn good corner (great job with keeping his face together as well) and more heart. He was getting banged and rocked(especially the 3rd) made the correct adjustments, and pulled away in the second half. I had it 8-4 in rds for Alvarado. Fantastic display of toughness, ring intelligence and BALLS... Too bad the classless (as usual) Rios didn`t let us hear from the WINNER after the fight !

It could have gone either way depending on what you like more as a fight fan, but I thought Alvarado won by 2 or 3 rounds. He would ALWAYS be the one leaving a stamp on each round in the last 20 seconds. He was always fighting on his terms even though Brandon was pressing the action the entire night. I think Brandon hurt Alvarado more and inflicted more damage but Alvarado controlled the fight better and was able to fight his fight more than Brandon was able to fight his fight.

He proved he had discipline in the Prescott fight. Where he was getting mauled then focused on his corners instructions, went out there and made the necessary adjustments to turn the fight in his favor. :good

But as far as the topic at hand.... Alvarado was a clear winner in this rematch with Rios.

Rios gassed out or stopped trying or something. That **** at the end of the fight was to save his pride. His ass didn't have the stamina he had in the last fight.

Agree...It sure helped on the scorecards...Alvarado in most of the rounds was indeed the one finishing stronger.

    Got Alvarado ahead by 2.

More than him, we fans won. A great fight and this time a spot on decision.

Mike Alvarado. Rios can easily be outboxed.
