Makes perfect sense , both need a solid , but not spectacular opponent.Neither are big 147 lb fighters. Both have 24 7 or all access history so will know how to sell the fight. Also to add a bit of spice there is Garcia in there and Im sure he would wish to brush Broners hair again.Thoughts?

Would love to see it and would favour Rios to beat Broner down to a stoppage, especially as he works under Garcia. but sadly Rios will likely get a suspension due to his test results (Alex Ariza) and the fact he is with Top Rank prevents this

Look for Judah or Peterson to go in with Broner seeing as they are big names and damaged fighters after the Khan, Garcia, Mathysse bouts.

What I would like to see personally?

    Mayweather V Pacquiao
    Provodnikov Vs Maidana
    Rios V Ortiz
    Broner V Malignaggi

    What will we get?

    Mayweather V Khan
    Broner V Judah
Ortiz V low level Welter/Junior Middle
    Ishe Smith V someone

Maidana is just as crude and limited as Rios.

Rios beats the **** out of him like Maidana did. :deal

Why do people persist in making match ups between GBP and Top Rank?

    Not going to happen.

No way Rios beats Broner. You think Maidana would lose to Mike Alvarado?

People say Maidana has no defence but he's Mayweather compared to Rios

Stylistic nightmare for broner, anyone who throws lots of punches is always gonna win rounds against him due to his terrible work rate.

Think like a promoter. If you're Schaefer, why would you match Broner up with another guy trained by Robert Garcia?

This makes no sense. There is no reason to think that Maidana would not have a tough fight with Alvarado. Nor is Rios' defense that bad.
