Rumors are Gamboa is walking away from TR, he's been seen around Floyd and it was a rumor he was signing with him.Oner was very upset about it.I think Arum is selling him out and Oner is looking after PAC himself.

Actually that is very rare. Normally as fighters go up their chin can not withstand the added weight.

Yea that definitely makes perfect sense. Bob was very careful in making Gamboa-JML then he makes this which is basically jeopardizing a cash cow.
    Not very Arumish.

135 will be much better for Gamboa than Rios, and Gamboa is just plain better....Gamboa by TKO on weight drained Rios....if they were both comfortable at the weight I'd pick Gamboa by close decision where he's in trouble during the later rounds.

If Gamboa moves and use his speed, I doubt Rios can catch up with him.

However, if he thinks that he is the bigger puncher and trades with Rios, then Rios will prevail.

By the looks of it, Gamboa by UD. I doubt Gamboa is that dumb to be rading blows by blows against Rios. And I doubt Rios has the skill to catch gamboa if he decides to move.

I think Gamboa is a better boxer than Rios, not that Rios is bad. Rios's 3" reach advantage could be a huge factor.

Hard to tell. Gamboa is going up 2 weight divisions to fight Rios. However, we dont know if Rios will have a hard time making 135. There are many questions in this fight however I'm picking Rios on this one. Top Rank is keen on pushing Gamboa and they are probably following the Nonito Donaire-Wilfredo Vazquez blueprint.

When Gamboa throws his combinations, Rios will eat his shots to counter like 1:00 into this video.

    So many factors

how well does Gamboa make the jump

Rios, can he make it, he couldnt make it to keep the belt, according to HBO 2 days he didnt eat for 5 days to make weight and worked for an hour and couldnt sweat off any more

i dont see how he will even make 135, unless he does something different, Garcia even said no way does he do it again at 135

then if he doesnt make weight and they do like a Murray thing where he is limited to overnight pounds how does he do then

weight aside, weight jumpers have time and time again proven that weight doesnt matter if your that good

Is Gamboa the level of elite where he can jump up 2 weights and be dominant

Gamboa will need to retain speed and Power

Rios needs to time the quick Gamboa who hits the deck a lot and lacks a little in defense

Rios is also easy to hit as well

fight is a toss up to me there are so many factors that look good and wave red flags for either fighter

the circumstances alone make this look like a great night

Rios said he has a new Nutrionist helping him to make weight this time and he learned from the Murray fight and knows what to do different. Last that I heard, he's down in the high 140's right now and is on schedule to make 135 in April.
