There's nothing 50/50 about this fight.

Gamboa's going to win it via COMPLETELY LOPSIDED THROBBING.

People are going to be shocked at how easily Gamboa takes this fight.

    Looks good on paper though.

Cotto and Pac are recent examples of exhibiting better chins when moving up in weight. The reason this usually happens is because certain fighters are draining themselves to make weight and weaken themselves. Im not sure Gamboa fits into this category, but you never know until they make the jump.

There are three very interesting factors about Rios and Gamboa. #1- Rios is pretty slow and Gamboa's speed is considered among the best in boxing. #2- Rios likes to fight toe to toe and likes the inside fighting while Gamboa knows the Cuban hit and move style and it's awesome at that. #3 Rios gets hit really easily and Gamboa will have no problem finding his target.

All in all Gamboa will be winning every exchange with pure speed and side movements while Rios will constantly be eating leather. I really doubt Rios will catch Gamboa flush like that against Peterson as Gamboa is miles ahead of Peterson in both speed, athleticism, technique, amateur experience and most specially Ring IQ. Most boxing experts agree that Gamboa is one of the most " smartest " boxers today.

Gamboa will beat Rios by UD or possibly a late TKO by accumulation of punches, it's that simple. ;)

so you're saying Gamboa is so fast that he can never get countered? When he throws a combination and if someone throws a counter hook in the middle of it, he'll see it and do a matrix like move to dodge or block it even though Gamboa is in the middle of throwing a punch? :scaredas:

And you're also saying Gamboa will win every exchange and when he throws a flurry of punches Rios will just sit there and take them and not throw a punch back because he doesn't want to get KO'd? :scaredas:

Shiet negro. If gamboa wants to win, he better be on his bike and not exchange with Rios. And he better do a good Mayweather impression of hitting and retreating. We all know Gamboa likes to exchange and he will get caught and Rios will walk him down and finish it. Gamboa TKO?! :rofl:rofl Ok buddy! :good

    War Rios!

I wonder how many of those that are picking Gamboa will have the nerve to show up after the fight. Gamboa is in for the longest or shortest night of his life. It all depends on whether he trys to run or to stand and fight. Rios KO in 10 or less.

I really got to give some Respect for Gamboa taking this fight at 2 weight divisions higher than he currently fights. and is it not Rios considered some sort of Beast at lightweight.

I saw Gamboa recently at training, looking even faster than at 126 and hitting like a ****ing mule.He was handling some jr MW at light sparring and it's looking like a monster. Still is premature to anticipate anything , I remain realistic,Rios is way a huge risk for him.

I am not saying he is perfect nor that he never gets hit, all am saying is that he gets hit very little even while exchanging due to his super quick hands and feet. No one is perfect, but Gamboa hit Salido 3-4 times and maybe got 1 in return. Plus, he has developed much more his defence since then specially now that he is with Steward. Should be a great fight but don't be surprised if Gamboa makes your boy look ordinary.

Oh that's great news, where did you see him? If he has kept his speed then Rios will be shocked on fight night. At featherweight Gamboa had the fastest hands in all of the division, so if he still has that wicked handspeed then no one can touch him. :good
