Are you talking about on PEDS or not on PEDS, its hard to tell what a non cheating Peterson would do against Khan since we are yet to witness it
If Khan was capable of a disciplined execution of outside boxing and, more to the point, possessed the necessary footwork, IMO, he could easily out box Rios and cruise to a one-sided UD. That said, he doesn't and isn't capable. Rios by KTFO.
I've always picked Rios. If Khan was capable of boxing this super disciplined, skillful boxing match, then he wouldn't be Khan. He's not some skilled smart technician. He's just a guy with some range and speed. Doesn't have good instincts, ring IQ, footwork, defense, ring generalship, etc...for a world class fighter.
tough fight but if alvarez sorry jab gave rios problems when he used it khan's certainly would. i feel khan would be winning easy but would end up getting caught later or getting gassed out. however i wouldnt be suprised at al if khan wins. im not so big on rios though
Khan just can't handle pressure. He gets too wild and freaks out and would get KTFO for his troubles in this one.
Haha, destroy is a strong word for Khan. That's almost absurd. It's a 12 rd fight, Khan will get hit with hard, clean shots even if he boxes sensibly. Unless he's supernatural which he isn't, his chin will always get tested. If it was a 3 or 4 round fight, sure, I can agree with you that Khan would outbox anyone. Outside of a lucky body shot, Khan cannot hurt Rios or Garcia and mostly likely Matthysse as well. What most people don't notice is that Rios does have decent head movement and his timing is exceptional. Unless you have an awkward style and have a safety first approach you aren't going to have an easy time with Rios. Khan doesn't fight this way. He's very offensive minded and if he can't hurt you he fades mentally. If the fight happens it'll be the first time a boxer shits himself in the ring. And it won't be Rios.
I say Khan if he fights a disciplined fight, but he never does so probably Rios wins. Khan has such great skills and yet he does not fight disciplined. If Khan signs to fight Rios, he should work on stepping back to get a little room when Rios is in front of him and landing a straight right, sort of like how Frankie Randall knocked Julio Cesar Chavez with. But first you have to slow him down a little, which is why a disciplined style with body punches does that. I just don't know if Khan can fight a disciplined fight. I have not seen him do it much.
I am not sold on Rios since he still had the Abril fight. There are many fighters which box better than Abril does and punch harder. Good win for Rios, but Alvarado was made for him.
