I always thought Matthysee was the better fighter. Matthysse would've beat Rios like he done Provodnikov (been awhile forgot how to spell his name). Speaking of Rios vs Argintines, Rios is lucky Chaves got DQ'd in their fight
Matthysse is and always was better than Rios. The fight wouldn't mean much at this point since both have seen better days. Had they fought at 140 back circa 2012 when both were in their primes, Matthysse would have stopped Rios in a fun, but one sided fight. Mattysse was just much stronger, with much more firepower.
That's a bad KO right there..... Both have seen better days but LM at any point of his career is a horrid matchup for Rios.
Of the four exciting junior welter brawlers of recent years, Matthysse, Maidana, Provo, and Rios... Bam Bam was clearly the weakest link. He would have gotten battered by all three.
