At the scene: he says he wants Gamboa in april and Marquez in July.
he says 2 more fights at 135,then going to 140, working with a nutritionist.
It sounds unreal to fight Marquez just 3 months after Gamboa.

Why the **** does he want another 2 fights at 135lbs when its so painfully obvious he can't make the weight safely anymore?

Rios might destroy the career he made for himself, by staying there. I think Gamboa might just spark him at the weight.

So we might see him coming into the ring looking like an Auschwitz survivor two more times...

If Rios does decide to fight Gamboa at 135lbs he is going to be demolished. Gamboa is no joke and he has fought about 3-4 times between 132-135 so he is pretty used to it. If Rios is weight drained he is going to be easily outclassed or KO'd. Like a good friend of mine told me, Gamboa beating a " weight drained " Rios is not much accomplishment. Either way, I just want to see Gamboa in the ring soon. It's been many months that he is missing in action and he needs to be more active.

Rios or whoever, Gamboa needs to fight soon! ;)

Gamboa and Marquez both kill him at 135. Rios is putting himself in serious danger staying at that weight.

I think they better keep Rios away from JMM ..I see that going the way of the Diaz fights ..

You mean JMM? Yeah, I agree. It'll be a great fight, though.

As for the weight, I think Rios struggled as badly as he did the last time round because of where he was training. Maybe when he's back in California, he'll have an easier time.

But even then, it'll best for him to move up.

Yeah JMM ..:lol:Don't know what happened there..The move up is needed for sure he was killing himself to make 135..But Marquez is leagues ahead of him, he should fight some other 140 pounders first to see how he makes the transition .Fighting Marquez right now ,he would expose all his flaws right now ..Rios a good but needs more seasoning imo ..

    Why JMM at 135 ?

I thought JMM didn't want to go back down ?

Fight would be great at 140

If Rios is that much of a fool to think that he can beat Gamboa while being weight-drained, then make the fight happen. Let him get a reality check, If anyone is to fight Gamboa, they better be at 100% mentaly and physicaly.

But yeah Gamboa needs to fight someone soon :bbb

Ok so clearly he has zero respect for Gamboa's credentials as an opponent

And why not do Marquez @140 ???

Either way its clear Rios is going to have a big 2012 one way or the other

Im really really not sure about this mate ?? :huh:lol:

Rios visibly is at about 10 - 12% body fat , all he needs is a real nutritionist to get him eating correctly and treating nutrition like he should be , and he'll make 135 healthily , so im not sure he's a JrWW just yet , and he looked fine against Murray in terms of strength / stamina to me

Gamboa quite rightly is not a joke , but he is a FW , and he's a FW who has struggled to make big impacts on other FW's (at times) who did not and could not pressure him like Brandon Rios will , its a massive risk for Gamboa , but its the right one at this stage of his career

In my mind he is already a superstar (Gamboa) , but he should of had Juanma's name on his resume by now and im not sure he ever will :deal , if Juanma beats Salido , then Gamboa Juanma should be finally on !! , Juanma has stated this his last fight @126 as has Gamboa so look for that fight to happen @130 , if so i think Rios Gamboa will be pushed back to later in the year , or , on a more realistic note , Arum will have Juanma avoid Gamboa further and give them both step up fights at 130 , probably for a vacant ABC title , then have them move onto other fights i.e Rios Gamboa and Juanma vs who ever is smaller and weaker

Haha, you don't arrange a fight with gamboa, then book another one in for 3 month later.

I love the big plans, but beat gamboa 1st.
