Rios will be what he's always been; a punching bag. Back in the Acosta/Antillon days, he punched back with authority. Those days are long gone. He has lost probably twice as many rounds as he has won in his last 6 or so fights.
He was world class for a few fights down at 135. Ever since entering the Abril fight, he has been far from world class. His only success since then is when he can go rock em sock em robots on Alvarado and that is it with no exceptions.
Rios can hurt him. Brook also got rocked hard by Senchenko. Rios' inside game is underrated. I think it'll be a tough test for Brook. Also, Rios can take any shot Brook can dish out. Rios took Chaves' punches and kept asking for more.
What does Gamboa ducking him have to do with anything I just said? I guess I'll take that as a, "I'm desperate to spread my agenda, what this guy said was 100, ooh! Gamboa ducked him though!!!" C'mon dude. What an irrelevant post.
Brooks is a full fledged welter, who started his career at welter. Rios does NOT posses the same power and strength to deal with a true welter and that not even included the speed factor here .
He was coming on strong. Chaves resorted to cheap tricks because he couldn't get Rios off him. If it was a 12 round fight, Chaves would've been stopped. He was looking for a way out with all that rough-housing.
