    A real shame coming so close to his brothers death. He'd have got a world title if he fought today.

    rip indeed... great boxer who gave foster and conteh some of their toughest moments. Not wanting to split hairs but I'd say Chris was certainly world class, he was opnly beaten by the best at a time when the talent was high and there was more contenders than 'champions' unlike now. If he was fightingh today Chris would be a world champion with out a doubt:bbb

    If you have the chance check out Finnegans victory over Kiselyov at the Mexico olympics...IMO its the greatest performance ever by a British amateur.

    To take part in a FOTY of against one of the greatest LHW's of all time is a phenomenal achievement.

    Brilliant amateur and an excellent pro fighter who had misfortune of being around with Foster and Conteh, but still, he gave both hell!
