You lost tough guys like Haugen, Foreman and Cooney, then there's Hart.

Yet Benitez still lives there a living vegetable,I'd trade Benitez with all those we lost before.

RIP Colin Hart. Proper boxing journalist. I bought his Top 10 Boxing DVD when I first got into the sport 20 years ago. A well respected man.

Didn't always agree with old Colin, but he was a proper old journo with a knowledge and passion that shone through. And he was not an arse kisser like lots of journos and pundits. Sad loss, life well lived, I hope people say as much about me when I go, it's all we can hope for and how we should live. RIP

I briefly met Colin once at a fight (maybe it was a Holyfield title fight in Atlanta, not 100% sure) and he was very kind to chat boxing with me for a few moments. A true icon in the boxing writing world.

    RIP.

A very sad loss indeed.Colin Hart was an excellent journalist whose love for boxing was
    always reflected in his articles.
Colin wasn't afraid to go against conventional opinions.A man of integrity who will be sorely
    missed in the boxing industry.
My condolences to Colin's friends and family.

    RIP Colin.

He and Hugh McIlvanney were always my favourite boxing journalists.
