    I was thinking that as few boxers as there are who are considered truly great, the number of true greats who retire in good health and lead happy post-boxing lives is even fewer… so it’s good to know that he was one of those particularly rare cases.

    I personally doubt he's still alive, but Hugo Kelly's death isn't recorded anywhere and he was supposedly seen in 2006. That'd make him something like 140 now; and like 126 when he was seen.

    Even given his advanced age and condition, this was still a bit of a shock. It was a real highlight meeting up with him, his family and you last year at the WCBHF event, Chris. RIP Eder.
