Tim Witherspoon was robbed by King. Tyson, Tubbs, you name it. Ali was ripped by King, etc. Don King destroyed Tyson, at least that's what it so appears.

Greg Page never lived up to his talent. I wish he had not lost his life.

No, they were supposed to fight three different times, but it never happened.Which was a shame, because, after 1978, Page would have taken Teo.

I know I've already commented on this a few weeks back, but I still can't believe how many fighters we've lost from that generation and so soon. Unless I am forgetting someone, Trevor Berbick, John Tate, Greg Page, Jimmy Young, and to an older extent Jerry Quarry are all gone. If those guys had lived, they would have been anywhere between 50-65 years old now. What's more tragic, is some of them died as young as mid 40's ( John Tate. ) Something about that generation....Live fast and hard, then die young...

Yaeh, but "Quarry & Page" died from injuries sustained in the ring, while "Tate & Young" croaked from heart attacks due to poor health habits later in life.......... Tate was a huge Oreo eatin' slob of 330 pounds when he crashed his truck after having a heart attack..... Jimmy Young was livin' on the streets and parks suckin' down wine bottles near his demise.... As for Trevor Berbick, well, his nephew took him the **** out.....

Could have and would have been the 1980 Olympics Gold Medal winner at
    Heavyweight, in Moscow.

That would have been the 'smart move', as he would have entered the
"Pro Ranks' in late-1980, and better prepared.

But, Jimmy Carter, in one his 'classic' anti-America decisions, had the United States
    boycott the Olympics.

But in retrospect, Page's people made a wise move, got out a year before a lot of his contemporaries, i.e Tubbs, Green, Frazier.Got a nice jump on the comp.I always felt he could take Stevenson after a certain time.
