Sorry if this has already been posted but I only heard about this today. A great writer, I really enjoyed his book This Bloody Mary Is The Last Thing I Own. Two tributes below http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2013/feb/10/jonathan-rendall-observer-in-memoriam http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2013/feb/09/jonathan-rendall RIP
I read about him in Colin MacMillan's brilliant book 'Fight the Power' - seems like he did a great job as a rookie manager for MacMillan. RIP.
His Tv series on Channel 4 called The Gambler was excellent as were his books. He liked a drink, a ***, a punt and lived a chaotic life that was summed up in the way he died, alone and undiscovered for many days. He deserved better than that.
Damn it's always a shame to lose good writer's especially those who dedicate themselves to boxing. RIP
"When Jonny was found dead at his home in St Georges Street, Ipswich, on 23 January, police estimate he had been there alone "for a number of days". Mutual friends say it was longer than a week, others reckon perhaps two." That's just about the saddest thing you could ever read. He was a great talent.
Got to admit haven't heard of him (not that means anything) but may he RIP sounds like he was good at his job and loved the sport.
