Just heard popular East London boxer Mark Kaylor has passed away

A tough honest fighter who gave us a generational battle with Errol Christie

    RIP champ.

    Gutted.

    One of my favourite fighters.

Had some terrific wars against: Roy Gumbs, Errol Christie, Tom Collins, James Cook.

Took on peak Herol Graham and kept trying to turn the fight round though he seemed to be getting 4 to 1.

Went the distance with Tony Sibson and was coming on strong toward the end in arguably one of his best performances.

    Tough and brave fighter.

    RIP Champ.

Terrible news, Mark was a great fighter and too brave and not afraid of anyone or anything.

Would have been a world champion today.

What a real shame. RIP Mark

In 2003, I went to live in East London and work in Dagenham, and whenever the boxing was on in the boozer I'd always go and watch it and have a chat with the locals. Inevitably Kaylors name always came up, he was loved around those parts.

He is loved around the east end, there is no place like it for locals to talk boxing.
When out (Bethnal Green ) his name always comes up,
Thread should be in classic forum too

Sad news about Mark Kaylor. He always carried a bit of a bad rep because some of his hardcore supporters were linked with the ICF and got tagged, rightly or wrongly, as extreme right wing. His fight with Christie came not long after the Broadwater Farm trouble, so all that added to the atmosphere.

He was before my time to watch properly, but I was reading Boxing News early on so I always knew of him. Being from the East End I hate to say it, but I preferred Christie. Still, Kaylor was a good fighter who would have earned a fortune today. Another one the Cartel took advantage of.

I honestly thought he had moved abroad years ago. Sad news though at 64 – no age at all.
